How (not) to behave in the SKI PARK Červená Voda

  1. Don’t do anything to others, you wouldn’t like them do to you.
  2. Be mindful of the others and try to solve conflicts at ease and in a good mood.
  3. No-one can see, what’s behind him, so you are responsible for all those in front of you, and you must count on that, that they might unexpectedly change their speed, direction etc.
  4. Do not overestimate your skill. If you have to fall, try to manoeuvre - there is a great difference between falling “safely” on the slope and crushing into someone else or a child.
  5. It is no myth, that snowboarder has a different field of vision. Thanks to his position on the snowboard, he rides with his back to you in one curve, so while with a skier you might expect him to at least notice you, snowboarder has no chance at all to see you. Often used sentence:“He must have seen me!“ is obviously a very poor excuse. He couldn’t have and he hasn’t.
An experienced skier or snowboarded, always tries to over-take him on his front side not on the back side if possible to prevent unnecessary accidents.
  6. A decent man is always ready to help the others.
  7. Mind the nature and try not to destroy it.
  8. Intelligent people wear safety helmets. Most of us would not consider riding a motorbike at 60kph without it. According to our measures even an average skier may reach this speed, yet not all of us use safety helmets. Therefore in our opinion a safety helmet is a necessity.
  9. Before starting off or pulling out you must look up and down the slope and choose an appropriate moment to execute your manoeuvre, so as not to endanger yourself or other skiers.
  10. Avoid stopping at blind corners or narrow or enclosed places unless you have to i.e. you’re injured. In the case of an injury you must vacate the spot as soon as practicable, to avoid further danger (to yourself or others). You should always stop at the side of the piste. You must always use the side of the piste to walk up or down, whether with or without skis on. Pay attention to and follow the signs, markings and notices on the piste.
